Got Soul is a Neo Soul lounge night that was founded in 2011. It is a DJ centered night where lovers of Neo Soul can come and unwind before the upcoming week ahead. It ran weekly for over a decade. In our early days, we noticed that on Bank Holiday Sundays, the lounge often attracted large numbers of people which made it impossible to maintain the lounge vibe so we made the decision to declare that any Got Soul that fell on Bank Holiday Sundays as ‘Got Soul Special’. These ‘Specials’ had more of a party vibe than the weekly lounge and the music policy became more relaxed over the years.
